Across from the Coney Island Boardwalk, 1515 Surf Avenue includes 16- and 26-story towers with more than 35,000 sqft of amenities. It was New York City’s largest geothermal project at the time, achieving carbon-neutral performance. Augmented Construction provided Design Phase Coordination and Construction BIM Services to ensure the geothermal system’s constructability and integrate structural, mechanical, and architectural systems. Reality Capture and Scan to BIM workflows monitored field progress and validated installation accuracy, particularly for post-tensioned slabs and mechanical sleeve placement, reducing risk and improving efficiency.
